Me, My Story, My Business

I used to be a manager and photographer for 3 Picture Me Portrait Studios (originally in Wal-mart), as well as Sears Portrait Studio until the company closed in April 2013.

I've been passionate about photography since I was 4 years old and my mom bought me my first Fisher Price camera; I took pictures of everything, even my food!

I took photography in high school and spent more time in the developing room than in my classes.  I loved the simplicity of black and white photos and the artistic process of developing my own pictures- layering them, cropping them in the more creative ways, listening to my music and feeling inspired as I used my own hands to make my pictures come to life.  I still love playing with my photos on my computer, but I miss having a darkroom and film (there's something so beautiful and peaceful about the quiet of it).

Now, I'm looking for a way to get back out there into the world and show people what I can do.  I've taken my sister's senior photos, her prom pictures, photos of my daughter and my dog and that's just outside of the studio.  Inside the studio I've done everything from newborns to toddlers to teens to families as big as 16 people.  I even told the photographer at my wedding what I wanted pictures of and found all the right spots and came up with all the right poses.

If you're looking for someone who can give you beautiful pictures for a great price, I'm your girl!  I am willing to do a little traveling to find the right spots, do weddings, come to your house and do photos of your beautiful newborn.  (Cost will of course be negotiated by how far I have to travel.)

I can to some simple adjustments to the photos right now, as I am currently working on saving up the money to buy the top version of Lightroom, which is what is used in most portrait studios.  I will be using Shutterfly to print the photos since they always have awesome deals going on.  The offers prints in almost any size, have photo gifts and even canvases.  I can also handle framing.  (Prices will vary on the work that has to be put into printing and framing; portrait CD's will also be available.)
